Your Opportunity:

As a Pharmacist I at Alberta Health Services, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality direct patient care in a multidisciplinary environment. Our pharmacists work with registered technicians and pharmacy assistants to provide specialized and general medicine care to patients.

Description:

As a Site Lead Pharmacist at the Vermilion Health Centre, you will be responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis, and provide assessment, intervention, and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage medication therapy for patients
  • Provide assessment, intervention, and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems
  • Oversee activities related to compounding and packaging

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
  • Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated self-directed learning and continuing education
  • Demonstrated good time management, including ability to switch priorities and multitask
  • Demonstrated excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
