We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Accounts Specialist to join our team at Winnipeg School Division.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices for payment, reviewing manual requests for reimbursement, confirming goods receipt entry, and resolving outstanding invoices and credit notes. They will also utilize intermediate to advanced Excel skills to format and upload electronic billing data, correctly determine tax applications for purchases, and resolve invoice issues with other departments and/or vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices for payment
  • Review manual requests for reimbursement
  • Confirm goods receipt entry
  • Resolve outstanding invoices and credit notes
  • Utilize Excel skills to format and upload electronic billing data
  • Correctly determine tax applications for purchases
  • Resolve invoice issues with other departments and/or vendors

Requirements:

  • Complete secondary education with one year of relevant experience
  • Completion of one year accredited Accounting course
  • Knowledge and experience with accounting systems and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word at an intermediate level
  • Proficient in Excel at an intermediate level
  • Experience with Division software and Government of Manitoba FRAME Manual would be an asset

Working Conditions:

This is a 12-month, full-time permanent position in the Secretary Treasurer's Department. The successful candidate must be able to work well both independently and in a team environment, have good organizational and interpersonal skills, and be able to deal tactfully with staff and suppliers.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
