Vivaans Yummies is seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
- Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Skills: Excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced kitchen environment with heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Client Focus: Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work with clients.
