Job Overview

This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to join the University of Fredericton as our Director, DE&I- Remote. As a key leader in accreditation and quality assurance, you will play a vital part in shaping the institution's academic excellence.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing institutional and program accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of quality and excellence across the university. This full-time permanent position (35 hours) is located in Fredericton, NB, with the possibility of remote work from anywhere in New Brunswick.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accreditation Leadership: Serve as the primary liaison with accrediting bodies, ensure compliance with institutional and programmatic accreditation standards, lead the preparation and submission of accreditation documentation, and coordinate institutional reviews and new program accreditation processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to all higher education regulations, develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with evolving regulatory requirements, conduct regular audits to identify compliance risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Analysis and Quality Assurance: Analyze data from course evaluations, program reviews, and institutional assessments to drive improvements, collaborate with faculty and administrative leaders to ensure programs meet quality benchmarks, and lead data-informed initiatives to enhance institutional effectiveness and student outcomes.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, revise, and enforce policies related to accreditation, compliance, and academic integrity, provide training and resources for faculty, staff, and leadership on accreditation standards and quality assurance processes, and ensure that institutional policies are aligned with the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of the university.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all accreditation and compliance activities, compile and analyze data to produce detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders, and ensure timely submission of required documentation to accrediting and regulatory bodies.
  • Strategic Collaboration and Leadership: Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on accreditation, compliance, and quality assurance matters, engage in governance activities, such as Academic Council Board participation, foster a culture of quality and compliance across the institution, and represent the university at accreditation, regulatory, and professional conferences and events.
Compensation Package

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $85,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health and vision care, RRSP match program, paid time off, flexible work arrangements, and wellness days. The ideal candidate should reside in New Brunswick or be willing to relocate.
