Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Physiotherapy department at Northern Health Authority. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in promoting functional independence and enabling clients to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments and interventions related to patients' occupational performance in accordance with established Occupational Therapy practices and national provincial college standards.
  • Work as a team member under the general supervision of the Lead Occupational Therapist of the OT department, rotating between acute physical/medical inpatient wards and outpatient services.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote functional independence and enable clients to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved program in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia. Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data to problem-solve and make decisions effectively.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
