Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Physiotherapy department at Northern Health Authority. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments and interventions related to patients' occupational performance in accordance with established Occupational Therapy practices and national provincial college standards.
  • Work as a team member under the general supervision of the Lead Occupational Therapist of the OT department, rotating between acute physical/medical inpatient wards and outpatient services.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote functional independence and enable clients to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved program in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to teach clients and others both one-on-one and in groups.
  • Integrates best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions.
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to organize work, set objectives, and establish priorities.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills.
