Biomedical Engineering Technologist: Precision Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Engineering Technologist to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a member of our Clinical Engineering department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective operation of medical equipment throughout our facilities.
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in biomedical engineering technology, with a graduate degree from an accredited program and registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with TechNova.
Key Responsibilities- Perform equipment management, user education, and problem-resolution services on behalf of the department to all areas of the Health Centre.
- Repair and maintain medical and support devices used in the facility and other designated areas.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to patients and staff concerning the safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist with investigation and follow-up of equipment-related alerts and occurrences.
- Graduate degree from an accredited Biomedical or Electronic Engineering Technology program.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with TechNova.
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to electronic and mechanical medical equipment.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Good computer skills, including database, spreadsheets, word processing, data entry, network configuration, and software installation.
The annual salary for this position is $37,109 - $48,901, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
