About the Opportunity

Dalhousie University's School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME) is seeking an exceptional emerging scholar to fill a probationary tenure-track, tenure-track or tenured position as Assistant or Associate Professor and Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Wearable Diagnostic Technologies.

The CRC Program

Established by the Canadian Federal Government, the CRC program aims to attract outstanding researchers to the Canadian university system. The Tier 2 Chairs are intended for exceptional emerging scholars with a strong record of achievement and innovative research in wearable diagnostic technologies.

Position Overview

We are looking for applications from emerging scholars who have expertise in developing wearable diagnostic technologies, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) for processing diagnostic data coming from wearable devices. The successful candidate will contribute to and expand the scope of the research and teaching excellence in our school.

School of Biomedical Engineering is part of a vibrant cross-disciplinary biomedical research and industry community in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Our faculty members advance new technologies that improve disease diagnosis, treatment of medical disorders, and traumatic injuries.

Qualifications and Application Procedure

Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant field, suggested two years of post-doctoral experience, and a strong publication record in a related area. Estimated Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
