Job Title: Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Goodwood General Contracting. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing tile surfaces in various settings, including residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring, marking, and cleaning.
  • Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and other materials as needed.
  • Set tiles in place, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings.
  • Pack and remove excess grout.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles for decorative designs.
  • Install tile strips and underbeds.
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
  • Estimate costs and materials for tile installation projects.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in tile setting or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent, on-the-road job with a 30-40 hour workweek. The work environment is dusty, and the job requires handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment.
