We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Goodwood General Contracting.

Job Summary

The Tile Setter will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in residential and commercial settings. This includes preparing surfaces, mixing and applying adhesives, and ensuring a high-quality finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including cleaning and applying primers as needed
  • Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and grouts to ensure a strong and durable bond
  • Install tiles, including cutting and fitting around obstacles and openings
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a level and even surface
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Estimate costs and materials for tile installations
Work Environment

The Tile Setter will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to dust, noise, and physical demands. The ideal candidate will be able to lift heavy loads, bend, and crouch for extended periods.

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in tile installation
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control
