Compliance Risk Management Expert - Sun Life Financial

Sun Life Financial seeks a seasoned Compliance Risk Management expert to join its team as a Corporate Director, Data Governance Lead. This role will be responsible for preparing and presenting regulatory compliance data to senior executives and the Board of Directors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory compliance risk management frameworks, methodologies, and requirements. They will be able to translate complex regulatory themes, trends, and expectations into actionable business insights and risks. Additionally, they will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance risk management strategies and procedures.
  • Analyze and report on compliance risks and trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior executives and the Board.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential compliance risks through regular monitoring and review of internal controls and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date on changing regulatory requirements and industry developments, ensuring that the company remains compliant and competitive.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a regulated industry, with a strong background in compliance risk management.
  • University degree in law, finance, business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across functional teams and levels.

Salary Range:

$105,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
