We collaborate with academic partners like McMaster University and Mohawk College to train the next generation of health professionals. Our Diagnostic Services team supports a high volume of adult and pediatric patients, providing services in various areas 24/7.
The Registered Ultrasound Technologist (UT) plays a crucial role in our multi-disciplinary healthcare team, co-ordinating and performing ultrasound examinations. They are responsible for the technical operation, coordination, and quality of service for Ultrasound. The UT also liaises with senior technologists and Radiologists to ensure procedures are performed at a high level.
**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - Ultrasound Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Diagnostic Services team, you will be responsible for:
- Co-ordinating and performing a variety of ultrasound examinations, including pediatric and high-risk obstetric cases
- Triage examinations as necessary
- Ensuring the technical quality of procedures
- Liaising with senior technologists and Radiologists
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Graduate of an accredited training program in Ultrasonography
- Current membership in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Professional designation of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS)
- Current registration with Sonography Canada preferred
**Estimated Salary Range:** $85,000 - $110,000 per year
