Job Title: Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Ontario Inc. in a permanent position.

Job Description:

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for evaluating daily operations, planning and organizing daily operations, setting staff work schedules, determining type of services to be offered and implementing operational procedures, balancing cash and completing balance sheets, cash reports and related forms, conducting performance reviews, organizing and maintaining inventory, ensuring health and safety regulations are followed, negotiating arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, negotiating with clients for catering or use of facilities, leading/instructing individuals, addressing customers' complaints or concerns, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet business objectives.
  • Set staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
  • Conduct performance reviews to assess employee performance.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure availability of supplies.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
  • Lead and instruct individuals to achieve business objectives.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Provide customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Ability to balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
  • Ability to negotiate arrangements with suppliers and clients.
  • Ability to lead and instruct individuals.
  • Ability to address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Ability to provide customer service.
Work Environment:

The Assistant Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. The ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail is essential.
