Job Title: Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our operations team.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for evaluating daily operations, planning and organizing daily operations, setting staff work schedules, determining type of services to be offered and implementing operational procedures, balancing cash and completing balance sheets, cash reports and related forms, conducting performance reviews, organizing and maintaining inventory, ensuring health and safety regulations are followed, negotiating arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, negotiating with clients for catering or use of facilities, leading/instructing individuals, addressing customers' complaints or concerns, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet business objectives.
  • Set staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and productivity.
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to meet customer needs.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Conduct performance reviews to assess employee performance and provide feedback.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to ensure best value and quality.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to meet customer needs.
  • Lead/instruct individuals to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide customer service to meet customer needs and expectations.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a repetitive task environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word skills.
  • Spreadsheet skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a repetitive task environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues.
