Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Vacation Resort Operations Coordinator to join our team at Gill International Travel.

  • About the Role:
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing duties that match or exceed those of workers they supervise, as well as providing assistance to clients with special needs.
  • This includes coordinating and assigning tasks, reviewing work, hiring and training staff in job duties and safety procedures, maintaining computer systems and equipment, and arranging repairs to ensure business continuity.
  • The successful candidate will also requisition materials and supplies as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate the daily operations of a vacation resort, ensuring seamless delivery of customer services.
  2. Supervise and mentor staff members to ensure they meet performance expectations and provide excellent service to guests.
  3. Assist clients with special needs, providing personalized support and accommodations.
  4. Maintain accurate records of staff performance, attendance, and training requirements.
  5. Coordinate staff scheduling, time-off requests, and payroll administration.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to improve staff productivity, morale, and overall resort operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 months' experience in a supervisory role within the travel industry, preferably in a vacation resort setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on finding solutions that meet the needs of all parties involved.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as experience with property management software.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing employment, health and safety, and labor relations.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment, including printers, copiers, and fax machines.
