Job Description:This field-based position is part of the Diabetes Care Division in the Thunder Bay Area. As a Diabetes Sales Specialist, you will work with high-prescribing doctors, educators, and retail pharmacists to develop maximum sales growth in your assigned territory.
You will analyze market dynamics, utilize available information, and plan strategically to meet short- and long-term goals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Growing sales and share of sensors and BGM test strips by effectively educating and convincing healthcare professionals to recommend Abbott products;
- Collaborating closely with sales and marketing team members to drive business growth;
- Pursuing continuous self-development to stay up-to-date on disease state knowledge, new products, tools, and the changing business environment;
- Communicating sales activity, follow-up, and reporting in a clear and concise manner;
- Maintaining all assigned company equipment, records, and supplies in accordance with company policy.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree combined with medical device or pharmaceutical sales experience;
- At least 3 years of sales experience;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Superior selling and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to develop and present innovative solutions;
- Strong negotiation skills.
The estimated annual salary for this position is around $65,000-$80,000, depending on experience and location.
