Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Facility Operations to join our team at Next Level Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our facility to ensure seamless execution of events and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Oversight: Manage and schedule all aspects of facility operations, including staff, engineering, maintenance, safety, and security.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate operations with other departments and contractors to ensure event readiness.
  • Policy Development: Implement and update departmental policies and procedures.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve operational issues, conducting regular staff meetings to address concerns.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth facility usage.
  • Maintenance Management: Oversee the maintenance of all venue systems (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural).
  • Safety Compliance: Train staff according to safety regulations and maintain compliance with safety records.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Manage and update preventative maintenance software, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the venue meets all building, fire code, and certification requirements.
  • Logistics Management: Maintain the Master Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) log and ensure proper use of PPE.
  • Supervision: Supervise and evaluate full-time and part-time operations staff.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in facility operations, including 2 years in a management role.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of facility operations, with experience in ice resurfacing and HVAC/R systems.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in HVAC/R/Refrigeration are an asset.
  • Skills: Strong supervisory skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance software.
Additional Requirements
  • Availability: Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the event schedule.
  • Credential Check: Successful candidates must pass a background check (criminal, credit, credential, and references).
