AWS Database Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Senior GTM Specialist to drive the growth of Database services in Canada and enable new capabilities for our customers. As part of the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO), you will provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses.
In this role, you will lead GTM strategy for AWS' Database, creating sales plays, leveraging partners, and building new initiatives that drive results for our customers. You will work closely with our partner network to build an ecosystem supporting our customers' goals and provide critical feedback from customers to inform our product roadmap.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing GTM programs and initiatives at scale with tangible results.
- Working directly with customers to map data and AI services to deliver on their business objectives and outcomes.
- Developing targeted sales plays and enablement programs to help field teams capture and progress opportunities.
- Partnering with industry teams to identify workloads, such as Generative AI, that impact our database services.
- Acting as a trusted business advisor to guide cross-functional teams of SAs, Sales, Business Development, and Service teams to accelerate customer adoption and revenue attainment.
- Representing the voice of the customer and collaborating with field and central teams to bring customer feedback to product teams.
- Providing advanced technical knowledge to your aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
- Collaborating with your GTM colleagues to provide technical insights into GTM strategy and support field marketing to execute local technical events, campaigns, and customer engagements.
- Acting as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events.
- Guiding and supporting an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts aligned to your customers.
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience are required. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and a deep understanding of cloud technologies are preferred.

- Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives.
- Experience in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
- Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment.
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.
