Lakeside Variety Store Retail Salesperson Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Salesperson to join our team at Lakeside Variety Store. As a Retail Salesperson, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, discuss their needs, and provide advice on merchandise.
  • Merchandise Management: Maintain sales records, prepare merchandise for purchase, and assist in display of merchandise.
  • Sales Transactions: Operate cash register, conduct sales transactions, and estimate or quote prices.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain sales records for inventory control and operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, and repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficiency, outgoing, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, excellent oral communication.
Work Environment:
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
