As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment that fosters healthy, strong, and connected communities for children.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care to children, including toileting, first aid, and medication administration.
- Engage with children and ensure their safety in a group setting.
- Plan and implement play-based learning in accordance with the YMCA Curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and volunteers.
- Provide an inclusive environment that supports children with exceptional behaviors and additional needs.
- Adhere to work schedules and provide adequate notice for unexpected changes.
- Demonstrate flexibility with routines and schedules.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Up-to-date immunizations.
- Availability requirements: minimum of 2 full days per week or 2 mornings and 2 afternoons.
- Passion for working with children and providing quality play-based learning.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 kg, and participate in physical activities.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
