About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka. As a RECE, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our Child Care Supply program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to children, including toileting, first aid, and medication administration.
  • Engage with children and ensure their safety and supervision in a group setting.
  • Plan and implement play-based learning activities in accordance with the YMCA Curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and volunteers.
  • Provide an inclusive environment that supports the needs of all children.
  • Adhere to work schedules and provide adequate notice for unexpected changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification.
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Up-to-date immunizations.
  • Availability requirements: minimum of 2 full days per week or 2 mornings and 2 afternoons.
  • Early Childhood Education Diploma.
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
