Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Planning Coordinator to join our team at Cpus Engineering Staffing Solutions Inc.

This is a 24-month contract position with a competitive salary of $83,500 - $118,250 per annum, commensurate with experience, in the Scarborough area.

  • As a Senior Project Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating, facilitating and driving Front End Planning processes. This includes providing recommendations on execution of Value Engineering and Project Definition rating index (PDRI) workshops and initiating if required.
  • You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining updated and accurate conceptual phase schedules, loading approved project plans into applicable project control systems, and performing weekly schedule updates and cost and schedule analysis.
  • Additionally, you will ensure approved change control processes are followed, prepare and obtain approval of applicable change control documentation, and timely update project cost and schedule once change approval has been received.
  • Maintain the project schedule such that it accurately reflects the current project plan, including field execution, and ensure accurate project cost forecasting and schedule updating/statusing.
  • You will interface with all stakeholders to ensure project plans are accurately updated and maintained, and interface with Finance to ensure financial systems reflect project plan.
  • Set up and maintain project control budgets, annual business plan and control budget development and analysis.
  • Ensure applicable source systems are set up correctly to maintain alignment between costs and assigned budgets in project plan, monitor contractor cost and schedule performance against project plan.
  • Facilitate and support project financial close out process, final reconciliation and finalize/close out project controls and source systems.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of PMO processes and procedures, and maintain document project file which provides an auditable trail throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of engineering/science relevant to project planning, scheduling, risk management, and control service needs of the division, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A university education in an appropriate field such as Business, Finance or Engineering, or equivalent level of education is preferred. Junior resumes are welcome.
