Associate Relations Specialist

This role is a great opportunity to support and guide Managers and Senior Leaders within the organization on Associate Relations matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a business partner to support and guide Managers and Senior Leaders on Associate Relations matters
  • Provides advice and counsel to Managers and Senior Leaders on performance management, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, investigation outcomes, and attendance management and return to work processes
  • Advises Managers on disciplinary and/or termination situations
  • Provides advice and counsel to Managers and Senior Leaders on GoodLife's internal policies and provincial Employment Standards legislation and interpretation
  • Produces letters and other documentation for Associate disciplinary issues, termination, accommodations, and other situations as required
  • Supports and guides Associates as needed
  • Responds to Associate questions and assists with work-related concerns, workplace accommodation requests, safety concerns, and other situations
  • Ensures compliance with all provincial employment standards legislation and works with Managers to update related policies and processes as needed
  • Facilitates virtual and in-person seminars and trainings for all levels of management on various Human Resource and employment law topics
  • Completes various reports for tracking of terminations, leaves, resignations, accommodations, etc. as required

Requirements:

  • Some college or university in Human Resources field
  • 1+ years in Employee Relations and/or Human Resources role
  • Working toward CHRP or equivalent
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
