Retail Sales Manager Job Description
At Ontario Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Retail Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing staff, assigning duties, and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staff and assign duties to ensure optimal sales performance
- Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand and competitor activity
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold, including procurement and inventory management
- Implement price and credit policies to maximize sales and revenue
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers
- Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure financial stability
- Determine staffing requirements and recruit, hire, and supervise staff as needed
- Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in sales or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interactions
- Standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
