Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Property and Asset Management Coordinator to join the Property Management team at Qathet General Hospital in Powell River, BC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise to support clients in property management due diligence, including financial, administrative, and operational support.
  • Assist with landlord and vendor relationships to ensure facilities are maintained and managed as per agreed contract and/or service agreements.
  • Monitor and track expenditures for minor client requests, including identifying trends and advising the Manager.
  • Perform reviews of operating and maintenance costs in accordance with lease requirements and work with landlords to confirm operating and maintenance costs.
  • Assist with property management issues by conveying policies and priorities, obtaining quotes, and coordinating work to ensure issues are resolved or forwarded to the appropriate area or individual.
  • Manage tenant-related information through various checklists, forms, and reports, including estoppel certificates, monthly rent roll, and lease abstract approvals.
  • Communicate policies and information to key contacts, including clients, external consultants, property management providers, and vendors, in a manner that promotes positive and respectful relationships.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Diploma in Business Administration or related discipline, supplemented with three to five years' recent, related experience in healthcare project planning, real estate, and/or leasing management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical expertise to support clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide needs analysis and support to internal users and consultants.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team, including large engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment, including applicable software applications.
