Asset Management Process Specialist

We're seeking a Asset Management Process Specialist to plan, monitor, and record assets to ensure compliance and accuracy with the Site Operating Condition Agreement (SOCA). The successful candidate will have experience reporting on asset status and condition, and will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the transfer, disposal, recycling, loaning, or return of lease of assets. They will also be responsible for notifying Asset Custodians of requirements and gaps, recommending improvements, and providing database training. The Asset Management Process Specialist will reconcile asset information, prepare and maintain AM Division reporting, and update and provide input into the Property/Asset Management Governing documents. They will also liaise widely to promote and advocate effective information collection and management practices, and lead the inventory control and reporting with asset custodians. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, superior problem-solving skills, and ability to strategically plan and prioritize work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate improvements to AM processes and systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee the transfer/disposal/recycling/loaning/return of lease of assets.
  • Notify Asset Custodians of requirements and gaps.
  • Reconcile asset information captured in various asset inventory databases.
  • Prepare and maintain AM Division reporting.
  • Update and provide input into the Property/Asset Management Governing documents.
  • Liaise widely to promote and advocate effective information collection and management practices.
  • Lead the inventory control and reporting with asset custodians.
  • Maintain historical records.
  • Interact with customers and service providers across CNL sites.
  • Initiate and implement improvements to asset control and management.
  • Respond to internal inquiries.
  • Coordinate training and travel for the Division.
  • Provide Administrative Support for the Asset Management Director and Asset Management Team.

Requirements:

  • College or university graduation diploma in office administration or business-related course of study.
  • Certification and/or training in Asset Management is beneficial.
  • Over three years of relevant experience in Asset Management, including provision of support to a team and experience with report preparation.
  • Team-oriented with a demonstrated ability to work well with others and promote a positive work environment.
  • Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail and superior problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to software and technical changes.
  • Good verbal and written skills to communicate clearly and accurately with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in operating Microsoft Office suite of programs and various database applications.
  • Knowledge of CNL's policies and procedures and organizational structure.
  • Adept at conducting research into asset management initiatives.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Understanding of CNL's Management System and ISO 55000 Asset Management standards.
  • Strong familiarity and technical competence with asset management software and/or inventory-tracking systems.
