Chief Cybersecurity Specialist

The Chief Cybersecurity Specialist plays a pivotal role in safeguarding Onico Solutions' computer, network, and cyber security. This individual is responsible for administering all aspects of information security, identifying, investigating, and resolving security events, as well as conducting vulnerability audits and taking timely action to remediate findings.
Main Responsibilities:- Spearheading Security Efforts: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of security solutions to fortify the enterprise's digital defenses.
- Proactive Threat Management: Continuously monitor normal traffic to identify potential security threats and respond promptly to mitigate risks.
- Vulnerability Audits and Remediation: Conduct thorough assessments to pinpoint vulnerabilities and implement measures to address these weaknesses.
This permanent position is based in Brampton, ON, with an estimated annual salary range of $100,000.00 – $110,000.00.
Key Qualifications:- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in systems security.
- Familiarity with managing, supporting, and configuring Cisco firewalls.
- A working knowledge of various security technologies, including End Point Protection, Malware Protection (Network), Patch Management, URL filtering, Identity and Access management (IAM), etc.
- Proven ability to conduct research into Information Security issues and security products as required.
- CCNA certification (as a minimum).
- CISSP.
- Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
