Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and support our emergency response camps in Western Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain our camp facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily temperature and humidity levels and report any issues or concerns to management.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on plumbing systems, including leaky faucets and clogged toilets.
  • Perform building repairs, including drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, ceiling tile, and grid installation.
  • Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned.
  • Conduct daily site inspections of the camp and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operations and report any issues found.
  • Perform other manual duties to maintain landscaped environments.
  • Respond quickly and thoroughly to changes in client requirements and amendments.
  • Ensure all operations meet and comply with customer regulations, federal and provincial health and safety legislations, regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Perform routine maintenance jobs and repairs.
  • Follow Health and Safety Policies and Safe Work practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures in maintenance operations.
  • Highly experienced with vendor management in a facilities operation with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials.
  • Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook.
  • Class license and clean drivers abstract.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while working well under pressure.
  • Effective problem solver.
