We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team at the Columbia Icefield. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including the Glacier Discovery Centre, Glacier View Lodge, and Icefield staff accommodation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily maintenance checks to identify and address any issues promptly
- Complete repairs and maintenance tasks within your scope of experience and skill
- Follow up on maintenance requests to ensure timely completion
- Participate in seasonal annual opening and closing procedures
- Book and coordinate contractors as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Mature, energetic, dependable, and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
- Previous experience in plumbing, electrical, building, and carpentry is preferred
- Class 5 driver's license (unrestricted) and Standard First Aid Certification are required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform manual duties
- Proven ability to complete minor building repairs to proper building standards and codes
- Organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Dependable, self-motivated, and fully capable of working autonomously
- Employee and public relations skills and a friendly/cooperative nature
