Job Summary

Pursuit Collection is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team at the Glacier Discovery Centre. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including the Glacier View Lodge, Glacier Skywalk, and Icefield staff accommodation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily maintenance checks to identify and address any issues or concerns
  • Complete repairs and maintenance tasks within the scope of your experience and skill level
  • Follow up on maintenance requests and ensure timely completion
  • Participate in seasonal annual opening and closing procedures
  • Book and coordinate contractors as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Mature, energetic, dependable, and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience in plumbing, electrical, building, and carpentry is preferred
  • Class 5 driver's license (unrestricted) is required
  • Standard First Aid Certification is required (or willingness to obtain prior to beginning work)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform manual duties
  • Proven ability to complete minor building repairs to proper building standards/codes
  • Organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and fully capable of working autonomously
  • Employee and public relations skills and a friendly/cooperative nature
  • Ability to work outdoors in challenging mountain weather conditions
  • Internally motivated with a consistently high level of energy
  • Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks needing attention
  • High attention to detail
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment
  • Ability to meet the Organization's grooming and appearance standards
