Companion Caregiver Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion Caregiver to provide direct observation and companionship to clients in their homes. As a key member of our team, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or designee to ensure the highest level of care and support for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide companionship and socialization to clients, promoting their overall wellbeing and quality of life.
  • Assist with light housekeeping, food preparation, and other tasks as outlined in the client's Aide Care Plan.
  • Document care given and pertinent observations accurately, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to infection control policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Attend required in-service programs and maintain a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Be eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Demonstrate ability to read, write, follow a written Aide Care Plan, and document tasks performed.
  • Be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate dependability, tact, patience, and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to show compassion and empathy toward the elderly, sick, and disabled.
