About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion Caregiver to join our team at Robert Dalton McArthur. As a Companion Caregiver, you will provide essential support and companionship to individuals with physical disabilities in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Household Duties: Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, or watching movies.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals to clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Errands and Shopping: Assist clients with grocery shopping, errands, and other tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
  • Work Setting: Work in the client's home.
  • Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
