Job Description

A Temporary Full-Time opportunity exists for an Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team at Norfolk County's Environmental Services Department.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience in water and wastewater compliance, regulation, and management. The successful candidate will assist the Water and Wastewater Compliance Officer with all duties related to compliance in accordance with Provincial and Federal Acts and Regulations.

About You
  • You have a strong background in Civil or Environmental Technology, with 3 years of current related experience, or a 4-year University degree in Civil or Environmental Studies with 2 years of current related experience.
  • You possess a Water Quality Analyst certification (or must obtain within 12 months from date hire).
  • You have excellent project management, organizational, coordinating, multitasking, prioritization skills, and attention to detail.
  • You have thorough knowledge of Health and Safety Programs and procedures related to environmental hazards.
  • You are proficient in corporate standard software, including Microsoft Office, and able to learn department-specific software.
What We Offer

Norfolk County offers a competitive salary range of $63,982 - $79,692 per annum ($30.98 - $38.73 per hour), commensurate with qualifications and experience. Our benefits package includes a comprehensive health and dental plan, RRSP matching, and paid time off.
