We are seeking a relief cafeteria cook to provide services to our Fort St John campus. As a key member of our food services team, you will work independently to prepare and cook a variety of meals, assist with menu planning and catering events, and ensure that Food Safe regulations are practiced.

This is a relief, on-call position that requires flexibility and a keen interest in providing healthy and appealing food choices for students, staff, and the public. You will work closely with our Director of Ancillary Services to ensure the success of our cafeteria operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of meals, including short order cooking and baking
  • Assisting with menu planning and catering events
  • Ensuring that Food Safe regulations are practiced
  • Working independently and as part of a team to achieve cafeteria goals

Qualifications include:

  • Professional Cook Training, Level 3 preferred
  • Valid and current Food Safe certification
  • Experience with short order cooking, nutritious meal and snack preparation, and baking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
