Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our medical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and confidential medical records, reports, and documents.
  • Provide administrative support to medical staff, including preparing schedules, booking appointments, and handling correspondence.
  • Handle mail, update filing systems, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple files simultaneously.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; relevant experience an asset.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, Office Suite, and administrative regulations an asset.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
  • Fluency in English required; Cree and French an asset.
