Job Title: Medical Secretary

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our medical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate and confidential medical records, reports, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate appointments, schedules, and travel arrangements for medical staff.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and materials, and perform other basic office tasks.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure excellent customer service and quality care for our patients.
  • Respect patient confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • One year of relevant experience in a medical or administrative setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office software

Language: Fluency in Cree and English is required; fluency in French is an asset.
