Medical Office Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate and confidential medical records, reports, and correspondence
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Manage and coordinate appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements
- Develop and implement effective filing and record-keeping systems
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- One (1) year of relevant experience in a medical office setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Language: Fluency in English and French is required. Fluency in Cree is an asset.
Work Environment: This is a full-time position, with occasional evening or weekend work required. Telework may be available.
