About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Norse Landscapes Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our landscaping services, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and Plan Work

Develop and implement schedules for landscaping projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.

Direct Grounds Maintenance

Oversee the maintenance of our clients' properties, including lawn care, pruning, and planting.

Supervise Landscape Construction

Lead and manage teams of landscape construction workers, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards.

Maintain Records and Logs

Keep accurate records of all projects, including schedules, budgets, and client communications.

Read Blueprints and Drawings

Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure that all projects are completed according to plan.

Repair and Maintain Equipment

Oversee the maintenance and repair of all landscaping equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order at all times.

Supervise Nursery and Greenhouse Workers

Lead and manage teams of nursery and greenhouse workers, ensuring that all plants are healthy and well-maintained.

Establish Work Schedules and Procedures

Develop and implement work schedules and procedures to ensure that all projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Work Site Environment

Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment.

Tasks

Ability to schedule work, plan and direct grounds maintenance, and plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work.

Supervision

Ability to supervise 3-4 people.

Area of Work Experience

Experience in snow removal, interior landscaping, lawn care, and grounds maintenance.

Area of Specialization

Specialization in landscape construction.

Transportation/Travel Information

Valid driver's license.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, physically demanding work, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and standing for extended periods.

Personal Suitability

Ability to work independently, make sound judgments, and be a team player.
