Job Summary:

The Government of Alberta seeks a highly skilled Senior Capital Planner to join its team in the Corporate and Capital Planning Branch. As a key member of the branch, you will provide planning support to help develop and implement health capital plans that align with the Ministry's strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Collaborate with Alberta Health Services, Alberta Infrastructure, and other divisions to develop project needs assessments, business case documents, and programming studies.
  • Capital Planning: Analyze trends and issues related to the provincial capital planning framework, identify gaps between long-term capital plans and government priorities, and recommend approaches to align plans with strategic direction.
  • Communication: Prepare briefings, ministerial correspondence, and responses to public inquiries on a wide range of issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in planning and project committees, and support the Ministry's health and project-related committees.
  • Annual Planning: Support the review and evaluation of health authority long-term capital plans, and contribute to the development of the Alberta Health annual capital planning submission.
