Capital Projects Specialist - Traffic Safety Engineering

We are seeking a skilled Capital Projects Specialist to join our Safe Mobility team at CareerArc. As an integral part of our team, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation of our Safe Mobility Strategy, which aims to achieve Vision Zero by 2032.

In this exciting opportunity, you will work under the supervision of a senior engineer to provide engineering support on various projects that contribute to making Edmonton's streets safer for all users. About You
  • You will have a strong educational background in civil engineering or a related field, with a focus on transportation engineering.
  • You will have relevant work experience in traffic safety engineering, preferably in a capital projects environment.
  • You will possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • You will be proficient in project management software, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
About the Role
  • You will work closely with the Safe Mobility team to identify and prioritize capital projects that align with our strategic objectives.
  • You will conduct thorough analyses of project requirements, developing comprehensive project plans and budgets.
  • You will work collaboratively with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • You will document all project activities, ensuring compliance with our project management methodology and regulatory requirements.
