Job Summary

Restaurant L'Ambroisie is seeking a skilled Banquet Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for coordinating special events, planning menus, and preparing delicious meals for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Coordination: Co-ordinate special events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.
  • Menu Planning: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for events, ensuring that every dish is prepared to perfection.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Food Safety: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that all food safety standards are met.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a Safe Food Handling certificate and Level one apprenticeship training.
  • Culinary Skills: Have expertise in sushi preparation techniques, Japanese cuisine, and international cuisine.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities: Possess excellent oral communication skills, be dependable, and have a strong attention to detail.
