Job Summary

The Claims Advisor provides support for claims to the commercial department teams. This includes reporting claims and advocacy for the client throughout the claims journey. The advisor will also liaise with the adjuster and insurance company on their behalf.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and manage claims costs, maintain up-to-date loss histories, and report and track large losses.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the broker management system (EPIC).
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients who have experienced a significant loss.
  • Collaborate with the adjuster and insurance company to resolve claims efficiently.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related experience in the insurance industry.
  • Experience in an insurance brokerage is considered an asset.
  • Prior claims knowledge and experience is an asset.
  • A RIBO License is required.
  • CIP designation or working towards is considered an asset.

Competencies

  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Customer service focused with great communication skills.
  • Ability to support clients in distress and confidently assist them.
