About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Big Fat Jerk. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and presentation of menu items, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and other culinary personnel.
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu items, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate records of food costs and consumption.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and preparation procedures.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a senior chef or culinary leader.
- Proven track record of success in leading high-performing kitchen teams.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and presentation.
