Job Title: Farm Labourer

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Farm Labourer to join our team at Marinuk Farms (1994) Ltd. As a Farm Labourer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to crop harvesting, farm maintenance, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and prevent weeds from growing.
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots to optimize crop yield.
  • Hand harvest vegetables and other crops to meet customer demand.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth and quality.
  • Weeding and fertilizing crops to promote healthy growth and prevent pests and diseases.
  • Harvest crops at the right time to ensure maximum quality and yield.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work Environment:

As a Farm Labourer, you will be working outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot and humid temperatures, and may be exposed to dust, odours, and other environmental factors.

Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physically demanding work requiring standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and attention to detail to ensure quality work.
  • Hand-eye co-ordination and ability to work with farm machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet customer demands.
  • Availability to work overtime as required.
Language and Work Term:

The work language is English, and the work term is seasonal, with a typical workweek of 40 to 48 hours.
