Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and prevent weeds from growing.
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots to optimize crop yield.
  • Hand harvest vegetables and other crops to meet customer demand.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth and quality.
  • Weeding and fertilizing crops to promote healthy growth and prevent pests and diseases.
  • Harvest crops at the right time to ensure maximum quality and yield.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work Environment:

As a Farm Labourer, you will be working outdoors in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail. You will also be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks.

Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Seasonal.
  • Hours: 40 to 48 hours per week.
