About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Guest Service Agent to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room location.
- Process all payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Upsell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue.
- Issue, control, and release guest safe-deposit boxes.
- Respond to guest requests, promote hotel services, and provide information on local attractions.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus one-year front desk/guest service experience.
- Fluent English language skills, with other languages an asset.
- Ability to perform tasks that require frequent standing, remaining stationary for extended periods, and carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Basic math skills and ability to use a keyboard to operate various property management and reservations systems.
