About the Role
Horizon Health Network is seeking a Fredericton Mental Health Nursing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan and paid time off.
Job Description
This role involves working with patients who require mental health services, including those with complex needs. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote recovery and wellness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- You must be a registered nurse with a current license to practice in New Brunswick.
- You have at least 2 years of experience working in a mental health setting.
- You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- You are able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- You have knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to mental health care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct patient assessments, using standardized tools and frameworks to inform care decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care, including progress notes and medication management.
- Participate in educational and training activities to enhance your knowledge and skills.
