About the Role

The Victoria Cool Aid Society is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee the development and implementation of technologies that support the organization's growth and stability. As a key member of the management team, the IT Manager will be responsible for managing the Information Systems team, developing job objectives, and ensuring the effective use of technology to meet the organization's needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the IS team through developing job objectives, holding regular staff meetings, assigning and delegating work, and encouraging professional development.
  • Lead hiring, recruitment, and retention of all related staff.
  • Research new system requirements and provide advice on best practices and costing considerations.
  • Analyze, design, and deploy system networks in all departments.
  • Install and configure software, hardware, and network peripherals, including system build of computers and servers.
  • Monitor and manage computer and system components, including server resources.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve problems at computer, network, and server levels.
  • Back up, restore, and manage on-site and off-site data storage of client, patient, and employee information.
  • Evaluate user requests for new data elements and systems and communicate with programmers.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related area.
  • At least five years of recent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least two years' experience with Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Systems Analyst (MCSA), Industry Certified Systems Analyst (ICSA), or equivalent, and A+ Certification (hardware and operating systems).
