Hotel Front Desk Clerk

Ponderosa Motor Inn is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our front desk staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Registration: Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
- Front Desk Operations: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel, and change room reservations, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
- Cash Handling: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments, as well as balance cash and complete balance sheets and cash reports.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
- Communication: Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, and provide general information about points of interest in the area.
- Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures, and maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
