Hotel Front Desk Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Ponderosa Motor Inn. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Registration: Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
- Front Desk Operations: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel and change room reservations, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
- Cash Handling: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments, while balancing cash and completing balance sheets and cash reports.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
- Communication: Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, and provide general information about points of interest in the area.
- Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures, and maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
- Language: English language proficiency required.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with overtime required.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a standing position for long periods, with regular breaks.
